"Gongdu Pills" and "Tuodu Pills" for Cervical Cancer Collected by Duan Fengwu
Duan Fengwu was a renowned contemporary master of TCM external medicine in China. During his lifetime he worked clinically at the Guang'anmen Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in Beijing, specializing in research on TCM treatment of cancer. While alive, Mr. Duan collected many anti-tumor experience formulas, among which were "Gongdu Pills" (Toxin-Attacking Pills) and "Tuodu Pills" (Toxin-Supporting Pills) for treating cervical cancer.
The composition of Gongdu Pills is as follows: Scolopendra (Wugong) 100 pieces, Scorpio (Quanxie) 50 g, Nidal Vespae (Lufengfang) 50 g, Lonicerae Flos (Jinyinhua) 50 g, Crinis Carbonisatus (Xueyu Tan) 50 g, Armeniacae Semen (Kuxingren) 50 g, Fructus Gleditsiae Abnormalis (Zhuya Zao) 12 g, Strychni Semen (Maqianzi) 12 g, Calomelas (Qingfen) 18 g. Grind the above herbs into powder and make water pills; take 0.3-0.5 g each time, 1-2 times daily.
The indication of Gongdu Pills is cervical cancer patients with robust genuine qi and excess toxin-evil. Even if such patients are in the middle or late stage in Western medicine terms, as long as their appetite, strength and sleep are still acceptable, they can all be treated with Gongdu Pills.
But it should be noted that both Calomelas (Qingfen) and Strychni Semen (Maqianzi) in Gongdu Pills are highly toxic medicines, and Fructus Gleditsiae Abnormalis (Zhuya Zao) has a hemolytic effect (causing red blood cells to rupture), so great attention must be paid to safety during use and the single dose must be strictly controlled. Strychni Semen (Maqianzi) should preferably be the processed product rather than the raw Semen.
The composition of "Tuodu Pills" is as follows: Astragali Radix (Huangqi) 200 g, Ginseng (Renshen) 100 g, Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui) 200 g, Cervi Cornus Colla (Lujiaojiao) 100 g, Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata (Shudi) 100 g, Placenta Hominis (Ziheche) 100 g, Dioscoreae Rhizoma (Shanyao) 100 g, Lonicerae Flos (Jinyinhua) 300 g. Grind the above herbs into a fine powder and make water pills the size of mung beans; take 9 g each time, twice daily, with plain warm water.
The indication of "Tuodu Pills" is cervical cancer patients with depleted and deficient genuine qi. This formula focuses on supporting genuine qi and securing the root; it contains no harsh or toxic medicines and is highly safe. This formula has a certain therapeutic effect on the physical weakness of late-stage cervical cancer patients due to excessive bleeding and tumor consumption.
For patients with deficient genuine qi and excess evil toxin, "Gongdu Pills" and "Tuodu Pills" can be used together: using "Gongdu Pills" to fight cancer and "Tuodu Pills" to support genuine qi and secure the root; combining support of the righteous with attack on the evil yields better efficacy.
