Liking

Only when you like someone can you spend a lifetime with her (or him).

Only when you like something can you do it tirelessly, never tiring of it.

Only when you like your life can you live happily.

Liking is the source of vitality, the spark that ignites the passion of life.

The most successful life is not one of fame and fortune, wealth and luxury, but one in which you live with someone you like, do work you enjoy, and live the days you love.

Life is so short and so fragile; it can end at any moment. If you wait to live the life you like only after you have resolved all of life's problems, that loved life will always remain forever out of reach.

Only after a person has adjusted himself to a state he likes is he easily satisfied; in a state he does not like, satisfaction is hard to come by. A person in a state he likes needs no recognition or respect from others; his heart is already full of joy.

Pressure is not the source of motivation; only liking that rises from within is. Desire can bring momentary passion, but once the desire is satisfied or frustrated, the passion vanishes; liking, however, sustains one over the long haul. Only by understanding what one likes and persisting on the path one likes does life become wonderful, because such a life is an active rather than a passive life. Yearning for an active life is an instinct innate in human beings.

Living together with someone you do not like is torment for both; forcing yourself to do something you dislike is to destroy and waste your own life. What is the self? In my humble view, the self can be summed up in three words: I like.
