So-Called Positive Energy Is Not Necessarily a Good Thing Either
Nowadays the market is flooded with so-called positive-energy quotations. In my view, so-called positive energy is not necessarily a good thing. Most positive-energy quotations teach people how to deal with life successfully, how to do well in their careers, manage their families, and get along with friends. They make people feel inspired and positive.
But we seem never to have seriously asked ourselves: what is the essence of life? Is being positive, and succeeding in relationships and career, a good life? Is it true that, having come into this world, we must live according to the standard template set by this society?
I am a somewhat independent fellow who has always deeply doubted society's standardized norms, and who is deeply skeptical of both positive and negative energy. I seek only inner peace. To be honest, if no one disturbs me while I do what I love, and I earn enough to feed my family, I feel life is wonderful. I do not need applause, nor need I care about anyone's curses. Immersed in my own true inner world is my most relaxed moment. As for that so-called positive energy that is supposed to fire up my fighting spirit and make me positive—I wish it would stay far away from me.
Many times, living in society, we live and live until we are no longer real. We lack the courage to pursue the life we truly want in our hearts. We care about social opinion's evaluation of us; we hope for others' applause. Such a state of mind inevitably leaves our inner being forever tethered. What we present to the world is still not our true soul. To some extent, more than 99 percent of the people alive in this world are "fake people." We live to shape our own image rather than living naturally. Over time, whether positive or negative energy, both leave people exhausted.
