            "content_html": "<div>\n<div>Complex problems cannot be solved with simplistic thinking.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>Intractable diseases are difficult to treat precisely because their etiologies and pathological mechanisms are extremely complicated. They cannot be readily understood through oversimplified reasoning, nor can they be cured with simplistic treatments. Unfortunately, human medicine to this day still largely relies on simplistic thinking to resolve disease-related problems. For this reason, when we treat intractable illnesses including cancer, diabetes and neurological disorders, we inevitably fail to attend to all aspects simultaneously, leading to underwhelming therapeutic effects.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>The research and development logic of most pharmaceutical drugs and therapeutic approaches are designed to target only a single facet of disease. For instance, some medications inhibit angiogenesis, others eliminate mutated cells, and a third category boosts patients’ innate immunity. We hope to control disease progression through a single therapeutic mechanism, yet the human body is an integrated organic whole. Countless bodily functions are interconnected in ways that remain largely unknown to us.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>This explains why curative treatments for intractable diseases such as cancer, diabetes and neurological conditions are extremely hard to achieve. These illnesses feature highly complex causes as well as multifaceted pathological changes. They simultaneously present tissue necrosis, organ dysfunction, inflammatory responses, immune reactions, blood circulation disorders, neurological impairments and numerous other pathological manifestations, accompanied by a cascade of changes within cells and the intercellular stroma of affected lesions.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>Theoretically, if we can formulate a therapeutic regimen that addresses all pathological manifestations of such diseases, we can expect far more favorable clinical efficacy and even complete patient recovery.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>Given humanity’s current medical capabilities, we are still unable to fully identify the root causes of intractable diseases. Nevertheless, after thousands of years of trial and error, humans have discovered numerous methods to alleviate pathological symptoms and restore basic bodily function.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>Based on this premise, the author endeavors to establish an evidence-based diagnosis and treatment system rooted in holism to improve therapeutic outcomes for intractable diseases. This system requires us to regard the human body as an integrated entity and treat diseases as holistic conditions rather than isolated pathological phenomena.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>This philosophy originates from the holistic framework of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). However, traditional TCM yields only limited efficacy against many intractable disorders. Therefore, we must build upon the achievements of our predecessors, carrying forward their strengths while remedying their shortcomings.</div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div> </div>\n<div>Medical advances are undeniable. Humanity has eradicated smallpox and defeated tuberculosis. While numerous challenges persist in the treatment of tumors, diabetes and neurological diseases, remarkable progress has also been made. All these breakthroughs ought to be incorporated into this systematic diagnostic and therapeutic framework.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>Yet medicine has inherent objective limitations. To date, we lack effective interventions for a wide range of symptoms. On the other hand, certain traditional medical therapies can relieve symptoms and even reverse pathological lesions, yet their underlying mechanisms remain unelucidated and cannot be interpreted through scientific reasoning.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>Under present circumstances, the most pragmatic approach to establishing this theoretical system is to prioritize tangible clinical efficacy. Aspects that cannot yet be explained scientifically will be set aside for future researchers to investigate and clarify their therapeutic mechanisms.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>This approach carries practical significance, as disease waits for no one. Countless patients require urgent treatment and cannot afford to wait for conclusive scientific explanations.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>I identified this research direction through clinical practice over a decade ago. Later, on May 24, 2019, I summarized years of clinical experience and authored <em>An Introduction to My Practical Experience in Broad-Spectrum Anti-Cancer Therapy Using Multi-Target Chinese Herbal Compound Prescriptions</em>. This article was removed from my WeChat Official Account but remains accessible on my website: www.medicalresearch.com.cn. The deletion was prompted by my recognition that the text required substantial revisions.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>In the years following, I continued applying this multi-target characteristic therapy utilizing large compound TCM formulas to treat other intractable conditions in clinical practice, including COVID-19, long COVID, stroke sequelae, Alzheimer’s disease and intractable insomnia, achieving unexpectedly promising therapeutic results.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>This therapeutic regimen has enabled me to eliminate tumors, extend survival and improve quality of life for patients with advanced malignancies; facilitate full recovery for stroke survivors; and deliver favorable outcomes for early-stage Alzheimer’s disease. During the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple empirical formulas devised under this theoretical framework demonstrated notable efficacy against COVID-19 and its post-infection sequelae.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>In 2025, at the age of 46, I retook the national unified college entrance examination as an independent candidate and was admitted to the Clinical Medicine program at a public medical university. I study Western medicine full-time on campus, only returning home on weekends and holidays.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>As I studied Western medicine, I repeatedly reflected on my self-developed multi-target therapy based on large TCM compound formulas. By integrating this clinical experience with the Western medical knowledge I acquired at university, I gradually formed a logically consistent theoretical framework of medicine in my mind. This inspired me to document these ideas, share them with fellow medical practitioners, and engage in academic exchange and discussion.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>During the summer break of 2026, I returned home from university with ample spare time to organize my medical philosophy. Concurrently, a Doctor of Western Medicine from Fudan University collaborated with me to conduct animal experiments on my multi-target large compound TCM therapy at their affiliated hospital. This collaboration provided invaluable support. I am eager to validate the efficacy of my therapeutic system via medical experiments, further clarify its scientific mechanisms, and promote its clinical application.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>Medical research is an arduous, lengthy journey, and we have only taken the first step. Extensive follow-up work will be required to refine this research project. I once planned to complete this book only after obtaining perfect experimental results, yet time waits for no man. I am approaching the age of fifty. If an unforeseen event interrupts my research, subsequent scholars will lack a foundational body of work to build upon — a profound loss to medical research.</div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div> </div>\n<div>For this reason, I have ventured to write this book while my research remains ongoing. I acknowledge that my current knowledge means this work will inevitably contain flaws. Still, I hope this writing can serve as a modest spur to induce valuable feedback from medical peers, allowing me to further refine my medical philosophy within my lifetime.</div>\n<div> </div>\n</div>\n<div>\n<div>Further research requires collaborative participation from more scholars interested in this field.
